Account Manager

Account Manager - New Hire

Location: Petaluma, CA

Job Type: Full-Time, Salary

Hours: 8:30am- 5:30pm (Monday- Thursday in Petaluma and Friday optional Work from Home)

Reports To: Director of Account Management

Position Summary: The Account Manager is responsible for the success of the property
owners who sign up to list their vacation rental listings with RedAwning. As an Account Manager
at RedAwning, you will work with our onboarding team to set the clients up for success once
their listings are live, monitor performance continually, engage to maximize performance, and
help handle any issues that arise with the clients. Ultimately, you’re responsible for the growth,
retention, revenue, and satisfaction of our property owner clients. The overall health of each
account is your primary responsibility and you’ll be the primary relationship owner of each client,
and you’ll drive the relationship through a consultative and strategic approach to the
partnership.
The Account Manager reports to the Director of Account Management. The ideal fit is a
proactive problem solver, critical thinker, has excellent presentation and communication skills,
and is looking for their next opportunity at an innovative, high-growth tech company.

Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform Go-Live calls and work closely with the onboarding team to successfully
    onboard new properties and address existing account issues.
  • Drive meaningful revenue growth and opportunities across the company’s existing
    customer base of property owners as we continue to scale.
  • Communicate client-facing marketing to highlight the tech, commerce, and reporting
    capabilities that RedAwning offers so that clients can leverage their own specific
    strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of client communication assets based on client feedback
    to identify areas of opportunity including current tech and business improvements as well
    as future tech and business developments
  • As a key client partner, the account manager will develop deep, strategic relationships
    with our top property owner accounts, and provide stellar customer service to all other
    smaller clients.
  • Resolve any/all client issues using FreshDesk and continually monitor for new tickets.
    Some tickets will be handled for you. But you will have tickets escalated to you as well.
  • Discover and take action on non-performing accounts with the help of the Director of
    Account Management and the Director of Revenue Management.
  • Minimize client churn, and work to discover and resolve issues before they turn into
    churn.
  • Review listings as they go live to ensure they shine and will get bookings. Work with a
    variety of teams to develop client-facing marketing materials, collateral, FAQs, and more
    to bring our property owner program to a more self-service style program.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Optimize clients’ gross bookings per channel
  • Improve ad content on all OTA and VR channels
  • Client retention - Keep Churn and Channel Churn to a minimum
  • Client knowledge - Help develop collateral and methods for client self service

Education and/ or experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience in travel, hospitality, or real estate industries
  • Technical troubleshooting experience
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite (advanced Excel skills)
  • Experience with CRM systems, extranet systems, and booking engines like Airbnb,
    Booking.com, and Expedia.com
  • Experience working in high-paced tech companies

Position Summary: The RedAwning Pro Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of
the RedAwning Pro client relationship as it relates to Guest Services, Cleaning, Maintenance,
Troubleshooting and Billing. In addition, this role will support the Host Support Team/Manager with
additional responsibilities that help the Account Management team focus on listing performance
for these clients.

The RedAwning Pro Specialist reports to the Host Support Manager. The ideal fit is someone
who is a proactive problem solver, critical thinker and has great communication skills. This is a
great opportunity for a candidate looking for their next role to be with an innovative, high-growth
technology company.  Duties include:

Situational/Specific Role Examples:

  • Primary responsibility is to manage RedAwning Pro clients. Including but not limited to…
    • Coordinating with local cleaning and maintenance partners
    • Getting cleaning estimates
    • Scheduling initial property inspections and deep cleanings.
    • Connecting listings within RedAwning to TurnOverBnB (automates cleaning
      schedule based on reservation check in / check out dates) or other tools
      available for cleaning maintenance coordination.
    • Managing relationships with local partners.
    • Providing Guest Services escalation if issues arise during guest stays.
    • Troubleshooting any issues that arise for Hosts or Guests during stays.
    • Confirming all cleanings with our local partners via regular check ins and
      TurnOverBnB confirmations.
    • Restock amenities as needed (with local partner or directly with property owners
      so amenities are in stock/with for the cleaning crew for each cleaning)
    • Work with internal teams to help problem solve (Guest Services, Host Services,
      Account Management etc.).
    • Work with local partners to coordinate maintenance work (Electrician, Plumber,
      HVAC etc.) on behalf of the property owner
    • Receive, audit and submit local partner cleaning and maintenance invoices as
      they come in.
  • General support in operations, for example, setting up a PO to be a co-host on Airbnb
    (Lead this effort and "project manage" it since the host needs to be involved a bit)
  • PMS integrations & issues.
  • Testing new releases
  • Technical troubleshooting for hosts (Portal bugs and Stripe setup issues etc.)
  • Spot checking listing fixes
  • Billing issues

Education and/ or experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
